tOm G Brant Bjork is a desert blues rock God!!!!!! You can have the shittiest day, month or year and when you listen to this or pretty much anything else BB's done, it makes everything alright!

Charlie Hodgson A great listen as always, such a chilled record with lots of Jalamanta vibes throughout. Also a complete reworking of Bo Diddley's "who do you love". I really liked the use of a bit of hammond on some of the tracks, it gave it a proper early 70's sound. Favorite track: Ya' Dig.

ProgAddicted Brant‘s farewell record from the Joshua Tree studio. And how knows, farewell from other things as well. A surprisingly quiet record. Very moody stuff… Favorite track: Who Do You Love?.

Once again Brant Bjork is back with a wonderful new album “Bougainvillea Suite” !!

He’s never missed a shot in the last 20 years. His discography is connected by an imaginary line which crosses different sounds and melodies, but always with the same attitude. In the background you can imagine the Mojave desert where everything started many years ago, but his last record sounds fresh as his debut Jalamanta! Brant says about this album: “This is a bitter sweet record for me. So much change in my life. Some stuff more positive than others. But it’s always a blessing to be able to make a record and get the music out and to the fans. This is the last record to be recorded in my Joshua Tree studio. I’m saying good bye to an era and looking down the road toward new beginnings”

“Bougainvillea Suite” is composed by 8 songs. Produced by Yosef Sanborn and Brant Bjork. Recorded at The Rad Cabin, Joshua Tree, CA.

The flac version of this sounds great in my truck... not a crunch, clip or boom to be heard. That, in itself, gets this major points. This is a lovely combination of early Floyd, U2 and a few San Francisco bands from the '60s with a heavy dose of Helmet tossed in. It's definitely best of breed when it comes to modern psych stuff. Even without a Hammond B3, it gets an easy A+... rick-taylor
