On December 6th ,1969 the Altamont Free Concert - dubbed as the " Woodstock of the West " - ended in violence and chaos. What was billed to be a peaceful gathering on Northern California's Altamont Speedway resulted in social tension, broken dreams and the end of the Free Love era.

This turn of events laid the path for a more ferocious primal energy to emerge, altering music and culture forever.

30 years later, inspired by the unrest born from that historical catastrophe, The Lords of Altamont were formed.
The founders, known as "The First Five": Johnny Devilla, Max Eidson, Jake Cavaliere, Doran Shelley, and Gabriel Hammond, played their first performance for Tiger Mask productions at Hollywood's own ' The Garage ', triggering the Lords worldwide popularity.

Today, over 14 years later , while the line-up has gone through several changes, The Lords of Altamont have retained the soul and true rock n roll grit that the band was originally founded on.
In celebration of this anniversary, you're invited to revisit The Altamont Free Concert, but this time with the fury and wild abandon that is uniquely The Lords of Altamont.

The Lords Take Altamont - 13 Years of Lords History includes performances by every patched Lord dating back to December 1999.
